July 12 - Game Report
The U11 Boys swung into their 3rd straight win tonight over the Paris Predators with a final score of 16-9.
Jake Dufton, Lane Leversage and Max Barnett carried the pitching duties over the course of 5 innings.
The game got off to a great start with a 3 up, 3 down first inning. Starting with a swinging strikeout thrown by Jake Dufton, a caught pop-up by Clark Pletsch, and a great grab by Liam McSherry at 2nd getting it to 1st base for the 3rd out.
There were other great defensive plays throughout the game including:
Carter Newman picked up a passed ball and made an excellent throw to 3rd to catch the runner stealing.
Clark Pletsch snagged a grounder at third and made a strong throw across the diamond getting the runner at first by half a step.
There were many other great throws made on the infield over to first that were just a step too late to get the outs.
Overall a great defensive effort by the team, making the throws on target.
Offensively, the team had their bats swinging and every player reached base in this game.
