What equipment does my child need to play?
U5
-Glove
-Running shoes
-Comfortable clothing
-EMBA will provide a jersey and hat for all U5 players to keep
U7 - U13
-Glove
-Rubber cleats
-Batting helmet with face cage
-EMBA will provide hats and jerseys for all players. Please note jerseys will be signed out and returned at the end of the season.
-U7 may wear shorts or pants (parents choice)
-U9+ players are to wear grey pants and forrest green socks
U15+

Pitchers
Pitchers at every level must wear a fielders mask. EMBA provides one mask for each team. Example:
Bat Regulations
EMBA provides each team with bats. If you would like to buy your own these are the regulations it must follow
Acceptable Certification Stamps:
- Any bat that appears on theWBSC Softball Approved Bat List and has a current ISFcertification stamp (2005 only) or WBSC certification (shown above) will be accepted for play at a Softball Canada eventor,
- Any batthat appears on theUSA Softball Approved Bat Listand has an ASA2000 or 2004 certification stamp or USA Softball 2019 certification stamp (shown above) will also be accepted for play at a Softball Canada event.
- The bat must meet the compression standards outlined by the certifying organization and may be tested to ensure they are in the proper range.
- The bat must still pass a visual inspection per the current Softball Canada rulebook.
