Zorra Township Approves Grant for New Mini-Pitch Baseball Diamond
The Embro Minor Ball Association (EMBA) is pleased to announce that Zorra Township has approved EMBA’s grant proposal to support the construction of a new mini-pitch baseball diamond behind Matheson Park in Embro.

The new mini-pitch diamond will provide a dedicated, age-appropriate space for younger players to learn baseball fundamentals in a safe and fun environment. This project supports EMBA’s commitment to growing minor baseball and expanding recreational opportunities for local families.

While the grant funding represents an important step forward, EMBA will be seeking sponsors and planning fundraising initiatives to help cover the remaining cost of the project. Community support will play a key role in bringing this diamond to life.

Construction is expected to take place in the spring of 2026, with the goal of having the diamond available for use for part of the upcoming season.

EMBA thanks Zorra Township Council and staff for their support and looks forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses.
